TodayRIM announced two powerful new BlackBerry Bold 9900, 9930 phones with high-res touch screens, fast 1.2-GHz processors, and a new OS that offers better graphics than BlackBerrys had before. The 9900 is a GSM model while the 9930 is the CDMA version. These two phones run 1.2-GHz Qualcomm processors and have 8GB of storage, 5-megapixel cameras with 720p HD video recording, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
The company said that these are the thinnest BlackBerrys to date. The QWERTY handsets have a 2.8-inch, VGA (640×480) capacitive touch screen.

The new Bold will have a faster Web browser and new icons that make it easier to navigate on the device, said Andrew Blocking, a RIM vice president told reporters Monday. Both are expected to ship worldwide this summer. However, no details are available on the devices’ pricing.
