Motorola Droid X preview
If you are a Android Mobile Fan, than here is the Motorola Droid X Preview. Today Engadget posted some exclusive hands-on goodness of the Motorola droid X. In their post, they make it very clear that the device is running Android 2.1, and not 2.2 (aka Froyo). The upcoming Motorola DROID X features a 4.4 inch screen with resolution of 854 x 480, topping the Sprint device by one tenth of an inch. The DROID X will come with a Blockbuster app standard and a new form of Motoblur on top of Android 2.1. The camera is 8MP with 720p video capture.
Some of the highlights…
* Hardware: Looks slightly bigger than the EVO and has far more exterior details.
* Screen: Might actually be 4.4? and is incredibly crisp.
* Motoblur: Running Android 2.1 and not what anyone expected but seems to be solid.
* Camera: 8MP is nice, but the actual camera button made pics unclear at times.
* Keyboard: Official Swype comes preinstalled and includes multi-touch.
* Performance: The speed is remarkable.

Motorola Droid Specs, Pics at Motorola site
Motorola Droid seems to be turning into one of the most anticipated mobile phones that will come to Verizon Wireless during the ongoing year, exactly the thing that the wireless carrier is counting on. The Android-based handset is expected to become official with Verizon on October 28, as the company already announced a press event for that day, and now the official specification list for the device has been spotted on Motorola’s website. The Motorola Droid will run Android 2.0, with EVDO Rev. A on board for super fast 3G. GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and USB 2.0 will help it connect to whatever you can think to connect it to. The whole thing is powered by a 550MHz processor, which is only a small bump up from the 528MHz processors running the current crop of Android phones.
The screen will measure a whopping 3.7 inches, with WVGA (480 x 854 pixels) resolution. It will have a 16:9 aspect ratio. Nice. The device will measure 2.4 x 4.6 x 0.5 inches, and will weigh in at 6 ounces. The camera rates 5 megapixels and has image stabilization, dual LED flash and autofocus. It can capture DVD-quality video (720 x 480 pixels) at 24 frames per second. The phone will be packed with a 16GB microSD card, which is quite generous.
