In Android you can easily set the custom ringtone for different contacts, but to setup custom vibration alert is not possible. But now it is possible with the help of Vybe android app, the app can help you to create custom vibration alerts so you can identify callers even when your phone is in silent mode. This feature is available on most of the custom ROMs, but if you are on the stock ROM and want to create custom vibration alerts for contacts, then you have to must try this application on your device.
This application is also great for those users who are most of the times are in meetings or some other place. With the help of custom vibration patterns for your contacts you can know who’s calling or messaging without looking at your phone.
So lets take a look how this app works, Download and install the Vybe on your device. On the first screen tap the record button to create the vibration alerts, tap the volume-like dial to record the input. After creating the alerts hit the save button from the screen to save the alerts, you can also preview the alerts from saved custom alerts.
Now to set the current Vibration as default for all contacts, tap the ‘Contacts’ icon on the top of the screen. From here you can see the list of all you contacts, now you have to select the contact in which you want to setup the custom vibration alert. After this you can see that all of these contacts now show a symbol next to them, identifying that a custom vibration pattern is set.
With this way you can set different vibration pattern for different contacts. The only bad thing about this app is that you can’t easily know which patterns are assigned to which contacts while you are managing your patterns. Also there is no option for SMS vibration patterns.
