How to Update Galaxy S3 GT I9300 with XXELLC Jellybean 4.1.2 Firmware

Step 1. Enable USB debuggin modeon your device, Read here How To Enable USB Debugging Mode in Android Devices

Step 2. Now Download the latest Samsung Drivers on your Computer, without these drivers you can’t update the device. Download Samsung latest drivers from here.

Step 3. Now time to download the Latest Firmware on your PC, Download XXELLC Jellybean 4.1.2 Firmware Package and Odin from here and extract both the files to the desktop.

Step 4. Turn of your Samsung galaxy S3 and enter in Download Mode. To do this press the Volume down rocker key + Menu Button and holding these both, press the power button at the same time . Now you will see download mode and you will be asked if you want to cancel or continue. Press volume up to continue or volume down to cancel and reboot.

Step 5. Now Run the ODIN application on your desktop and connect your device with PC via USB cable. If the device is connected successfully, one ID:COM boxes will turn yellow after some time.

Click on ‘PDA’ and select file with ‘CODE’ in its name.
Click on ‘Phone’ and select file with ‘MODEM’ in its name. Ignore this step if there is no such file.
Click on ‘CSC’ and select file with CSC’ in its name. Ignore this step if there is no such file.
Click on ‘PIT’ and select the .pit file. Ignore this step if there is no such file.

Step 7. Now hit the Start button on ODIN application to install the firmware on your device. The installation process will take some time, After finishing the process your device will reboot. After you see the home screen, unplug your phone from the computer.
