How to Use Google Maps in Offline mode on iOS and Android

Recently Google updates the Google Maps for iOS and Android, the new update powered with lots of new features, but one feature we like most in this new update is Offline Google maps. With this hidden feature you can use Google maps on your smartphone without using the data connection or WiFi or in others words you can enjoy the Google maps on offline mode. With this simple and easy trick you will automatically download all the map data that’s currently on the screen of your smartphone. After that you will enjoy that map in offline mode. The feature is hidden, but once you know how to find it, it’s very easy to use. Works perfectly on both iOS and Android devices.

To use this trick all you need a latest Google map installed on your device, the new version of Google Maps only allows you to view maps offline. So first update the Google maps on your device and after that follow the below mention trick to view Google maps offline.

Enable the WiFi connection or data connection on your iOS or android device and search for the location that you want to save on your device. And make sure to zoom Google Maps on your device to the neighborhood/city/area/county you want to save. Now, type “ok maps” in the search box at the top and Google Maps will saved the cache copy of the map on your device.

Now the maps cached copy saved on your device, turn off your data connection or Wifi and go to the Google maps, now you will see the full map that you saved on your device on your Google maps screen. This trick just just saves a copy of the map data to your phone not the whole app in the device. To remove the cache amps files from your device go to Settings > About, Terms & Privacy > Terms & Privacy > Clear application data.
