Install ParanoidAndroid 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Custom Rom on Galaxy S3

ParanoidAndroid custom ROMs are one of my favorites ROMs. The ROM is based on AOSPA 3+ project ad powered with lots of new features. Now the new ParanoidAndroid 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Custom Rom is available for Samsung Galaxy S3 users. THe ROMS has some awesome features such as PIE Controls, PIE toggle icons, updated Quick Settings, PIE Controls disable support and many more. So today in this tutorial we will let you know how you can install the ParanoidAndroid 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Custom Rom on your Galaxy S3. The latest version of Paranoid Android is 3.10 and it is based on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean AOSP and CyanogenMod.

So, let’s check out on how you can update your device with the latest Paranoid Custom ROM firmware. To install this update on your Galaxy s3, you need a rooted device. You can find lots of rooting tutorial on our blog, just use the search feature to find the right one for you.

NOTE: This guide is only for the Samsung Galaxy S3 model number I9300. Please do not attempt to update any other models or devices following this post. Follow all the instructions carefully mentioned in this article, we should not be held responsible in any manner if your Galaxy S3 doesn’t boot up or gets bricked.

First important is backup, so take the backup of your device. You can find out some of the best free Android backup apps here. Once the backup process is complete. Enable the USB Debugging Mode in your Samsung Galaxy S3 from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”. or Read our Guide How To Enable USB Debugging Mode in Android Devices.

Now it time to Download the Custom ROM and Google app on the desktop. Download the Paranoid Jellybean Firmware custom ROM from HERE. Save the file on your PC and don’t unzip its contents. Now Download the Google Apps Package from here to your computer.

Now connect your Galaxy S3 with the computer via your Samsung USB cable. Once the device is connected to the computer. Copy all the downloaded files on your Samsung Galaxy S3 SD Card. Remember Don’t unzip the above downloaded files.

Now all the files are saved on your Galaxy S3 SD card, so it time to start the installation process. First turn off your device and after that Boot your Galaxy S3 into CWM Recovery mode by pressing at the same time Volume Up, Home and Power. Now from CWM Select ‘wipe data/ factory reset’ option and confirm this process.

Now select the “install zip from sd card” option and then choose the zip file of Paranoid Android firmware and then the Google Apps Package one by one which you have placed in your Galaxy S3. After the installation process Go back to CWM menu and Select ‘reboot system now’ and wait until the device powers on in normal mode.

Now your Galaxy S3 is updated with the new ParanoidAndroid 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Custom Rom, head over to the device “Settings > About Phone” for checking the custom firmware. If you have any other questions please post them in our comments section.
