Nokia Unveils C5 C-Series Mobile

Nokia has unveiled the Nokia C5, a smartphone optimized for social networking and sharing. The C5 is a smartphone packed into a feature phone body, boasting S60 3rd edition and a host of messaging and social networking features built in. It also has a bright 2.2-inch display and a 3.2-megapixel camera. It also is ready for messaging with Nokia Messaging. The C5 handset will be one of the cheapest smartphones from Nokia, selling for 135 euros ($183), excluding taxes and subsidies, and hitting the shelves next quarter.
Users can also surf the web using HSPA (High-Speed Packet Access), take pictures using a 3.2-megapixel camera, and store content on an included 2GB microSD card. There is support for cards that can store up to 16GB The C5 will ship in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa. The company didn’t provide any details on U.S. availability.
