How to Root Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9500

How to Root Your Samsung Galaxy S4 (GT-I9500)

Step 1. Download these files on dekstop to folow the root process:-

a. Download CWM Recovery
b. Download and install Samsung Drivers
c. Download ODIN Multi Flash tool
d. Download SuperSU Zip files.

Step 2. Now enable USB debugging mode on your Galaxy 4, here is the guide to enable USB debugging mode. After that turn off your Galaxy S4 and enter it Download mode. To do this hold down Volume Down, Center Home, and Power buttons together. Whe you the warning screen on your device, use volume buttons to enter Download mode.

Step 3. After this connect your S4 with the PC and run the ODIN.exe on your desktop. When your device will be connected to your computer, one ID:COM boxes will turn yellow after some time.

Step 4.Now on ODIN choose PDA, then browse to the CWM recovery you downloaded earlier (One Step 1 (a)) for your Galaxy S4. After that hit Start to begin flash CWM recovery to your phone.

Step 5. Once the the process is complete your device will reboot. If you see “PASS!” that means everything went successfully.

Step 6. Now Custom recovery is installed on your device. Next step is to Flash SuperSU Zip files via custom recovery to root your Galaxy S4.

Step 7. Now copy the SuperSU zip file you downloaded on step 1 on your Galaxy S4.

Step 8. Again Switch off your device and then hold down Volume Up, Center Home, and Power buttons together. Now you are on Custom Recovery Mode, from here you have to flash SupesSU Zip File.

Step 9.Choose “choose zip from sdcard” and hit the Power button. Choose “0/” directory and hit the Power button. Browse and find the SuperSU zip file you copied over earlier and hit the Power button. Choose “Yes” and hit the Power button.

Step 10. This will install the SuperSU superuser app on your phone and root your device.

Step 11. Once the process is complete Reboot your device from Custom recovery, Once rebooted, you can see the SuperSU app on your device home screen run it once to update the binaries.

That’s it now your Samsung Galaxy S4 is rooted, to verify install “Root Checker” application from the Google play store and run it. Congratulations, you have fully rooted your Galaxy S4.

    I just update my system with CWM recovery but after that i dont have any option like : Install zip from SD card” Can you please update me about this?
