Samsung Unveils Mango Windows Phone Omnia W Smartphone

Today Samsung unveils it first Mango windows Phone Omnia W, this one is Samsung first smartphone running on the updated Mango version of Windows Phone. The Samsung Omnia W packs a 3.7in Super Amoled touch screen with 800×480 resolution, a 1.4GHz chip, 512MB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory. It has also 5-megapixel rear-facing and VGA front-facing camera.

Samsung said in a statement that its Omnia W, which runs the latest release of Windows Phone, code-named Mango. It will be gradually rolled to globally including Europe, CIS, Latin America, Africa, South East and South West Asia. A Samsung spokeswoman said the date for a US rollout has not been decided yet.

It also allows for 720p video recording and playback. Other features that are standard in smartphones now are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth capabilities, an accelerometer, and light, proximity, magnetometer, and gyroscope sensors.
