How to update Galaxy Note 2 N7100 with XXDMB5 Jelly Bean 4.1.2 firmware

Step 1. You need to enable USB debugging mode. See here: How to Enable USB Debugging

Step 2. Download Galaxy Note 2 USB drivers and install on your computer.

Step 3. Now Download Galaxy Note 2 N7100 XXDMB5 Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Firmware and extract in your desktop.

Step 4. Download ODIN application and extract the folder on your Desktop, with this application you update you device.

Step 5. Now turn Off the device so that it can be entered in the Download Mode, Press Volume Down Key + Home button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. Now, a Warning message will be shown when you need to press the Volume Up key to continue entering the Download Mode.

Click on ‘PIT’ and select the .pit file. Ignore this step if there is no such file.

Step 8. After this click the Start button to install the firmware on your device. The installtion process will take some time, After finishing the process your device will reboot. After you see the home screen, unplug your phone from the computer.
